Kata “deskripsi” berasal dari bahasa Latin describere , yang berarti “melukiskan” atau “menggambarkan”. Dalam teks deskripsi, penulis berusaha menyalurkan pengamatan dan perasaannya terhadap sesuatu ke dalam bentuk bahasa yang hidup dan konkret.
